Eric Logan & AKA the BAND was formed from the 20+ years of entertaining success of AKA Acoustic Duo featuring Eric Logan and Matt LaSeur. The Duo’s history of cover variety, original arrangements and laughable originals carries over and above to the band. In every show, you will see the love of music in each band member as well as the on-stage fun they have while performing. They fine tune their incredibly large music library to match each audience and each venue’s needs. Professional. Always on time. Never vulgar. Never out of control. These are some of the great staples from the family of AKA. This duo hit the Abilene music scene in 2000 and have been performing ever since. Eric Logan and Matt LaSeur's unique blend of styles and musical textures has helped them travel around the state performing for two decades. Deeply involved in the Abilene Acoustic Music Association of the early 2000's they helped spearhead a resurgence of live music in the Abilene area. They were awarded Duo of the Year by the Abilene-Reporter News in 2004. Their tag line has always been, "Good Music, Good Friends, Good Times." These days you will find them on the road all around the state continuing to entertain audiences with their fun and unique styles.

Solo
Eric Logan’s solo act is a combination of uniquely prepared acoustic cover arrangements and original material. Since 2000, he has been a staple of the music scene in and around Abilene, TX. Whether in or out of Abilene, you’re guaranteed a great time of music and personality. You'll also find him giving back to his community by performing at various retirement centers, nursing homes and serving as a weekly worship leader.

A few years ago, the master of guitar, Matt LaSeur, turned his wide music repertoire into a solo act in the Austin area; adding yet another layer to the musical stylings and options within AKA. With an eclectic range of cover choices you can find Matt holding up the well-known legacy of AKA in his own great solo act.
Why the name AKA?
When Logan and LaSeur began playing live music, they tried to think of a name for the act. After weeks of thought and getting nowhere, AKA (also known as) was created which has allowed them to have fun on stage by changing their stage persona from time to time during their shows.
